Full Description
TB 36″ E-VL W1
From Schreiner’s Iris Lover’s catalog for 1947: “Something new – a singularly different iris, white brushed blue. The color is brushed on as if with blue chalk rather than blended. The cream color radiates throughout the flower like the first gentle rays of the sun. Blooms are very large, most unusual and lovely. A real innovation in an original flower, different from any other iris.”
From National Iris Gardens catalog for 1948: “M. 36″. A rub of the lamp and this enchanting iris appears. A rare dulcet blue self with brushings of cream illuminating the unusually large flowers.”
(Buechley Giant X Pluie d’Or).
