From the Eden Road catalog for 1961: “Bright gold blended orange with an all over flush of clear copper yellow, and a gold dust glitter. There is a flash of orchid at the tip of the chrome beard. Broad petaled with ruffled flaring falls and domed standards. Nicely branched.”
From Schreiner’s Iris Lover’s catalog for 1962: “A sprightly blend of beautiful form and very heavy substance. The color is a bright sunburst gold blended bittersweet orange with an all over flush of clear copper-yellow. The entire flower has a glistening, gold dusted finish. A tiny blaze, or flash of orchid, at the tip of the beard accentuates its bright coloring.”
