From Schreiner’s Iris Lover’s catalog for 1958: “Universally recognized as one of the finest iris Mr. Cook has introduced. A beautiful ruffled, dark navy blue. Silky, lustrous standards and rich, velvety falls. Beautiful smooth color, rich, deep and exuberant.”
From Eden Road Iris Garden catalog for 1966: “Beautifully ruffled navy blue iris of great depth of color. Beard is medium blue tipped lemon. The flowers are large, broad petaled, with fine form and substance.”
