Full Description
OGB (TB-onco), 34″ (86 cm). Early to very late bloom. Purple, cream buff, and dahlia carmine blend. Craig, 1952.
From Lloyd Austins Iris Color Guidebook 1963: “Oncobred star performer- my nomination for an incredibly fascinating and very colorful successor to hard to grow Joppa Parrot. Surpasses stalks in almost every way; most important, it is very vigorous and earsy to grow , stalks almost a yard high. Flowers even larger, done in a very similar pattern with color exploding fantastically in both standards and falls. Wiloh Wilkes reports 27 seeds from Imam x Bali Agha; 130 seeds from Kalifa Guinare x Bali Agha. So these new Oncobreds are inter-fertile, 44 chromosomes. Stock Scarce. Hurry!.”
