Full Description

TB 42″ M

From Eden Road Iris Garden catalog for 1956: “M. 48″ Not only is this blue-black very tall, but it is also large and well proportioned. There are no haft markings and the beard is blue-black. Well branched and vigorous.”

From Walter Marx’s Gardens catalog for 1959: “In the race for the darkest iris, this one runs about neck and neck with BLACK FOREST. Standing up to 4 ft tall, its blue-ebony smoothness in standards, falls and beard marks the well spaced flowers as serious contenders.”

((Black Valor x Gulf Stream) X Black Forest), HM 1951, AM 1954.
