. LA. 50″ (127 cm), Late bloom. Color Class-V1D, Deepest violet self (blackest purple, darker than any M & P plate); no signal patch. From two chance seedlings. House o Mac 1953. Honorable Mention 1959; DeBaillon Award 1968. Recorded as Vinie in 49 Checklist; Class renamed Louisiana Iris.
