From Schreiner’s Iris Lover’s catalog for 1978: “The wild west comes to life. This rugged weather resistant rose variegata was bred on the wind blown plains of Oklahoma. A stocky bloom, it has deep rosy gold standards and velvety smooth ruby red falls with bronze beards. Two branches 7 to 8 buds.”

From Eden Road Iris Garden catalog for 1980: “Standards are deep gold. Falls are clean ruby red. Beard is bronze. Showy.”
