From the Schreiner’s Iris Lover’s catalog for 1979: “A handsome firmament-like blue, a self of remarkable purity, the lemon white beard fits perfectly with its chaste coloration. A waxen sheen emphasizes its quiescent comeliness. A pure light blue Iris. Several shades lighter, more silvery than our famous Blue Sapphire. It is a bold advance to an absolute true blue. Extra long blooming, fine stems, 4 branches, 9 to 12 buds.
