TB 34″ LaM S6M
From Schreiner’s Iris Lover’s catalog for 1947: “As unusual a color as can be imagined. The entire flower glows and glistens with a brilliant iridescence. In color it is like a piece of highly polished brass or bronze only this flower glistens more as if from innumerable hidden jewels. The coloring is very smooth, one of the best brown iris. It is a beautiful iris, appealing, and of great color value. There is no iris like it.”
From Marble Iris Gardens 1952
“M. 34 in. A brilliant golden light brown with lustrous sheen but still not velvety. It grows to a good height and the tall stems bear several well spaced blossoms of large size, It is really a gorgeous color and well deserves a place in every garden.”

From Cooleys Iris Catalog 1944 “After a slow start, this iris really came into its own last year. It has gorgeous color, a brilliant golden light brown with lustrous sheen, not velvety. The tall stems bear several well spaced blossoms of large size, shaped considerably like Copper Lustre but far more alive and colorful. Altogether different from Tobacco Road but it is one of the very best brown irises and it really appears brown
