Full Description
MTB 24″ M
This sport of Kaleidoscope, itself a sport of Honorable, originated in the garden of Rex and Alta Brown, ca. 1967. A pixie-type plicata with yellow standards, and yellow ground falls with a white blaze, dotted and veined oxblood red. Golden yellow beard. As with Sans Souci, the intensity of the red markings varies year to year, seemingly influenced by the season’s weather.
Note: Please refer to Jean Witt’s article Notes on Honorabile in our Library under Irises of Note which has information on this family of Honorabile sports, and other Historic irises with erratic descendants.
