From Eden Road Iris Garden catalog for 1966: “EML. 36 in. An approach to a pink amoena and sure to be much in demand both for its beauty and for its potential as a breeder. Standards are white. Falls are a blend of buff-brown and rose pink. Petals have the same zippy edges as My Darling. Beard is bright tangerine. Branching is exceptionally fine. Fertile both ways.”
