Full Description
TB. 40″, Midseason bloom. Color Class-B4L. ‘Aurea‘ x ‘Caterina‘. Andrews 1926. Synonym: Candle Light.
From Quality Gardens catalog 1931: CANDLELIGHT . 48″. Large flowers of pinkish lavender illuminated from within by a rich golden glow; at once difficult to describe, but very lovely. The glow extends to the tips of the standards and falls, with just enough contrast to give a soft color effect. The plant is tall, and with us has been a vigorous grower. It rated higher than any variety in the last Symposium, and its popularity increases from year to year, as it becomes better known. $2.00.
