TB 40″ La S7L
From Cooley’s Gardens catalog for 1944: “Very large ruffled pink, tan and apricot blend, with extra heavy stalk 40 inches tall and bearing up to ten flowers. The ruffling is more pronounced than in any Iris we have ever introduced and is most unusual in so large an Iris. It blooms quite late.”
From Mission Gardens 1953 catalog: “Most attractive in color and form. This large flowered blend of pink, apricot and tan has won high praise from iris judges. Flowers large and of good substance with decided ruffling in both standards and falls. Sturdy stems with good branching.”
(Mexico X Goldbeater); #339, HM 1945 AM 1947.
Comment: “Absolutely stunning! Unique coloration and a great display. It seems to be a good grower too. the coloration appears to be sensitive to soil conditions, as it was pinker in my last garden with rich soil, but this year appears more coppery toned.” – Mike, WA
