TB 35″ M
From Keith Keppel’s catalog for 1980: “Clear, bright sunflower yellow – not gold – with falls a bit darker and with a velvety finish. The beards are yellow orange. Well-branched stalks, double buds. The very ruffled flowers are faintly laced.”
From Schreiner’s Iris Lover’s catalog for 1984: “Among the first to unfurl its colors at blooming time, Catalyst with its multiple buds has a proclivity to continue opening flower after flower all season long. It makes one wonder if it will ever cease. Here we have a stylish full sunflower yellow self, with falls a wee bit deeper due to its velvety finish. A great Iris for garden display. Plant it in the foreground for the ultimate – full affect. Surprisingly beautiful!”
