Full Description

IB, height 24″ (61 cm), Early bloom. Ruffled white ground plicata with deep blue violet rim; beards violet. ‘Chubby Cheeks’ X ‘Jesse’s Song’. Aitken’s 1992. Honorable Mention 1994; Award of Merit 1996Sass Medal 1998.

From Aitken’s Salmon Creek Garden, 1992: CEE JAY (Lankow ’92) IB, M, 24″, 5 buds. Some hybridizers just think alike! Last year, we introduced LEVITY (our best seedling from the same parents). This represents Carol’s best seedling from this cross. The most beautiful IB flower we have seen, the light blue plicata rim accentuates the round, ruffled white standards and falls. A smaller flower than LEVITY, this plant has a show quality stem, and typical IB vigor. Named in memory of an exceptional median hybridizer and friend, Carol-Jeanne (CEE JAY) Lankow! (Chubby Cheeks x Jesse’s Song). #4G35-1 $15.00.
