Here is our latest offering in the black field.This one is a deep violet black.Standards are a deep violet with a black cast and are well closed.Falls are very road and clean and are a deep black violet.They are well held and flare nicely.Beard is deep blackish brown tipped dark violet.This is a very large and imposing flower of beautiful proportions. Fertle pollen. Two branches and a terminal.”
From Schreiner’s Iris Lovers Catalog 1974; “A sooty rich ebony black arising form the parentage of Swahili x.Ecstatic Night. Deep violet black standards, well closed, with falls of clean deep violet black. Blackish brown beard tipped dark violet. An imposing well proportioned very dark iris.
