Full Description

TB 30″ EML

From Eden Road Iris Garden catalog for 1979: “EML. 30 in. (Winner’s Circle X Sib). Sib. to Exotic Star. Closed standards are white with edges veined campanula violet, more heavily at tip. Falls flare nicely, with overall veining of same color, more heavily at edges. Styles are deep campanula at tips. Beard is white to yellow deeper in throat. 3 branches and terminal. An exciting novelty.”

From Schreiner’s Iris Lover’s catalog for 1981: “How well named! This Iris is theatrical in the boldness of its etched markings. Its campanula violet veining in the center turns into heavier plicata edges on the petal tips as if a paint pot was spilled over white ground. Dramatic and stagey in appearance. You and your friends will surely stop and look at this exciting novelty. A well branched and most satisfactory grower.”

(Winner’s Circle: [Wintry Night x Stepping Out] X Sib, Sdlg. 66-73-19.), HM 1978.
