TB M B1L
From National Iris Gardens catalog for 1937: “A new clear light blue-lavender self, with a deeper area to the center of the F., and a rich red-gold beard.”
Note: The name was released to Mrs. Whiting – CLAIR DE LUNE (Whiting, R. 1954) TB, 36″ (91 cm), M-L, Yellow self, slightly deeper beard.
Since two different iris were officially given this name, the decision was made to call this particular iris ‘Clair de Lune by Wareham’ to avoid confusion. It is not known if the Clair de Lune of Whiting still exists.
