From Schreiner’s Iris Lovers Catalog 1952:” The brilliant color and volume of bloom stamp this as something different and not just another yellow. Clear, sparkling deep golden yellow. Nice flaring form, heavy substance, widely branched stem. The perfect trim form is accentuated by the glowing striking, heavy heavy orange beard, fragrant.”

We saw a great many wonderful seedlings and new named varieties in Mrs. Whiting’s Iowa garden.
