From Schreiner’s Iris Lover’s catalog for 1986: “Here is a well substanced blue with a whitish beard which also has one of the longest bloom seasons of any Iris we know simply because of its multiplicity of buds. These average up to 14 buds on three wide branches, many double socketed.”
