TB, 34″ (86 cm), Early midseason bloom. Plicata with standards and falls sparingly marked clear, fairy-like pink-lavender; lemfroon yellow beard. Seedling# R 224-C: (seedling# L 710-A((seedling# A 108 x ‘Fire Dance’) x (‘Rodeo x ‘Frolic’) x ‘Butterhorn’)) X ‘Memphis Lass’. Schreiner 1967.

From Schreiner’s Iris Lover’s Catalog 1967 (Introductory year) “Pink plicatas have been elusive and for may years the small flowered but charming Rosy Veil has been the only iris properly credited with belonging to this catagory. Thus this much larger variety represents an important advance. It is truly the first large flowered, pink plicata. Its frosty, diaphanous texture gives it a fairy-like charm. Here is an iris whose wide popularity seems assured.
