From Cooley’s Iris Gardens 1971 “This giant ruffled deep purple matches exactly the shade designated as “Doge Purple” in the Wilson color chart. There is no other color or markings in the broad petaled flowers, except for the heavy brown beard, which adds depth and richness. Well Branched HM AIS 1966.”
