From Schreiner’s Iris Lover’s catalog for 1962: “An entirely new color pattern in an iris – a stately white flower of queenly grace, white in all its parts except for a one half inch band of lavender-blue applied solidly to the edge of the falls, like a corona. Very chaste and charming.”
From Eden Road Iris Garden catalog for 1961: “Snowy pure white with ½ blended border of dark violet on falls. Beard is yellow to white. Beautifully different. Fertile pollen. H.M ’59. Placed 1st in Judges Choice ’60.” Notes ‘Fertile both ways’ in 1966 catalog.
