From Neubert’s Flower Garden catalog for 1968: “A delightfully new amoena with very light orchid standards, and flaring falls of Doge purple with bright chestnut brown at hafts that extends down the sides of the falls to well below the tip of the bright orange beard. A narrow border of orchid surrounds the edges of the falls. The well tailored flowers are lightly ruffled and borne profusely on tall nicely branched stalks. Good grower and increaser. A striking color that you have to see to appreciate.”
