NOTE (2021): The iris which has been in circulation for many years has been misidentified as Fascination although it has recently been corrected by the Cayeux organization. We have left the fake Fascination posted for informational purposes with an X through it and the correct one from the Cayeux family posted with an accurate vetting symbol.

From Cayeux et LeClerc’s catalog for 1927: “A beautiful coloured pallida vigorous and free-flowering. Enormous flowers of fine shape and colour, a bright self purplish pink of a stronger tone than any variety of sim(i)lar colour known up to now. Height 4 ft.”

From Robert Wayman’s catalog for 1940: “EARLY. A bright pink-toned variety that has always been as popular among the pinks as Sensation is among the blues. Very fine flowers produced in prodigious quantities and one of the best deep pink Irises introduced to date.”
