From Schreiner’s Iris Lover’s catalog for 1967: “Study the picture. Note the clean-cut, crisply flaring form. The color is exceptionally glowing with heavy substance and glossy sheen. Virtually a self. Perhaps it possesses more of a hint of copper than the picture shows. This is one of the tallest red iris with the unusual merit of having four branches. A topnotch red and we can only regret that we haven’t room for more large pictures. Fireball surely deserves one!”
