From Fairmount Iris Catalog 1946 “Glowing red self that is well named as it is flushed with orange red tones·
The conic domed standards shade from ochre red to terra cotta. The flaring falls are garnet brown, strong and firm. The flowers are medium to large of splendid shape, good substance and texture.  Stalks are strong and sturdy.  HM AIS 1944.36”.
