From Cayeux et LeClerc catalog for 1927: “Enormous flowers of striking effect carried on stout well branched stems. S. shammy-fawn tinged clear lilac. F. purplish-red lighted heliotrope at the margins, throat wide reticulated brown, beard orange-yellow. Height 4½ ft.”
