From Cooley’s Gardens catalog for 1946: “Luminous golden tan with a bronzy suffusion on the falls. It has the appearance of some of the creamy tan types of marble. Flowers large on 3-foot well-branched stems.”

From Fairmount catalog 1946 “M. An interesting iris, The ground color is of golden buff with. an overlay of bronzy gold. The flowers are large and of long form and the general effect is a tan toned iris that carries well in the garden. HM AIS 1939.”
