From Cooley’s Gardens catalog for 1946: “Luminous golden tan with a bronzy suffusion on the falls. It has the appearance of some of the creamy tan types of marble. Flowers large on 3-foot well-branched stems.”

From Fairmount catalog 1946 “M. An interesting iris,┬áThe ground color is of golden buff with. an overlay of bronzy gold. The flowers are large and of long form and the general effect is a tan toned iris that carries well in the garden. HM AIS 1939.”
