TB, 34″ (86 cm). Midseason bloom. Bitone. Standards very deep yellow, near orange; falls deep yellow heavily striped brown. Seedling# 48-175: (‘Tobacco Road’ x seedling# 43-40) X ‘Russet Wings’ seedling.

From Lloyd Austins ‘Iris Color Guidebook 1963’ Stands outclear across the garden because of the intensity of its bright golden orange yellow coloring. On closer examination it is found that the falls are prominently striped in brown in zebra patterns.Nothing else like this one. Lots of pollen.
