From Walter Marx Gardens catalog for 1956: Dramatic sparkling beauty predominantly a rich shade of deep blue. Flower is crisp and ruffled with a large white center and radial white markings. Upright white styles tipped blue. Four to six large blooms on 3 to 4-foot stems of ideal three way branching. No variety stands out more conspicuously in the garden.”
