From J&J Iris Garden catalog for 1977: ” Standards light beige tan with lavender at base, and falls deep copper, lighter at hafts with blue beards, with each hair tipped tangerine.”

From Eden Road Gardens catalog for 1977: “Standards are light beige tan with lavender base. Flaring falls are deep copper with lighter clean hafts. Blue based beard with heavy tangerine tip. Breeding good things for originator.”
