Full Description

TB 40″ VE

From Lloyd Austin’s catalog for 1963: “For years customers have been asking for a real flamingo Iris with a horn. So here is the first one the world has ever seen, a real color gem with a spread nearly 7″. Tall, imposing and heavy blooming, with large flowers, horizontally-flaring falls, this beauty is done in delectable salmon pink. Beards brilliant tangerine, very large, conspicuous down into the depths of the flower, & each ending in a stunning salmon bearded horn over 1″ long, sometimes spooned or frilled at the end. Try this for something really new and exciting. Pollen abundant.”
