Iris biliotti_ Fos. ( Sir Michael Foster, 1887, collected Northeast Asia Minor); Section Iris. Height 24 to 32″ (60 to 80 cm); “Purple bicolor with standards pale blue-purple” – “Bearded Irises Tried at Wisley,” p. 127, Journal of The Royal Horticultural Society 1928. “Falls a rather reddish-purple and the standards of a bluer-purple shade. The haft of the falls is veined brown-purple on a white ground and the beard is white with yellow tips to the hairs.” – The Iris by Brian Mathew. fragrant.
