From Cornell Extension Bulletin #112: “Color effect a brilliant pallid violet self. S. pallid violet to pale hortense violet. F. pale hortense violet, veined same on the lighter outer haft. Beard very showy, dense, brilliant orange.
The plant is of vigorous growth, with lax, medium foliage tinged at the base. Its exceptional color contrast of light violet and gold and it’s profusion of bloom over a long period make it desirable for both cut flowers and mass planting. Rating between 60 and 70.”
From Stumpp & Walters, Newark NJ ” Standards beautiful soft lavender; falls white, veined brown.”
