From DeForest’s Irisnoll catalog for 1960: ” 38″. Pronounced Kin-nah-zin. “House, standing alone.” Extra large ruffled flowers measuring up to 8″. Falls, 3 3? 8 x 4″, velvety rose-red. Bordered color of standards. Standards, cream-tan flushed rose in center. Orange beard on clean haft. Same parentage as Grand Teton.”
From Fleur de Lis Gardens catalog for 1961: “A sister of Grand Teton, this is just as broad and heavily ruffled and has the same form. Standards are smokey buff with wine toned center and falls are velvety rose red with a broad border of smokey buff. A good grower with strong well branched stems.”
