From Lloyd Austin’s catalog for 1960: “A pretty white plicata that flattens out like a Japanese Iris, but quite unlike the beardless Japanese, this regularly has six yellow beards. Attractive edging of violet. Pollen variable, sometimes plentiful. A heavy increaser.”
