Full Description
TB 36″ ML
From Fleur de Lis Gardens catalog for 1963: “A dark Amaranth or violet purple and red blend with claret red undertone. A smooth, clean haft accents the rich bronzy beard.”
From Cooley’s Gardens catalog for 1965: “A deep and rich sultry blend of red, maroon and violet with a yellow beard. Width of petals, smoothness, substance and ruffling add to its high quality. One of Tell’s best and it flowers rather late.”
From Schreiner’s Iris Lover’s catalog for 1966: “A most imposing variety. Dark, smouldering amaranth blend with falls flushed claret red and rosy violet. Large, wide, ruffled blooms, rich bronze beard. Extremely handsome and rich looking.”
(Bang X Jungle Bird), HM 1963, AM 1965.
