From Schreiner’s Iris Lover’s catalog for 1952: “We think so highly of this near amoena that we could not resist picturing it, page 34. The amoena class being the most difficult of all color classes to improve, Maytime represents a real breeding triumph. Its two-tone lilac-pink has a warmth and freshness – a limped etherealness – that are most inspiring. An iris to remember to add to your collection.”
From Eden Road Iris Garden catalog for 1956: “Lovely large pink bicolor. Standards are pale silvery lilac pink, wide and firmly held; the broad fall are deep rose pink. Beard is light yellow. Altogether gay and fine.”
