TB 40″ M
From Cooley’s Gardens catalog for 1966: “A spectacular sea-blue self of great size and imposing carriage. The ruffled flowers are produced on 40-inch, well branched stems. Beard is yellow tipped white.”
From Schreiner’s Iris Lover’s catalog for 1966: “An expansive, impressive sea-blue of medium tone. The falls flare and are very round and full. The standards are finely arched, fluted and ruffled. Richly vibrant and most imposing.”
From Melrose Gardens catalog for 1967: “In ’63 it was at the top of the Award of Merit list. In ’64 it ran up for the Dykes Medal. In ’65 IT GOT IT! Deserving all of this, as it is a great iris, with its wonderous flowers of medium sea blue, its perfect stem and branching, and its ‘everywhere’ performance record. We are proud to have been the introducers and hope that you are among those who will be enjoying this iris for many years to come.”
