Full Description
TB 33″ L
From Schreiner’s Iris Lover’s catalog for 1952: “This is the deepest colored of all the flamingo pinks. A clear flamingo pink, nicely formed flowers and a vigorous grower. A plant soon makes a clump, so thrifty is its growth and profusion of bloom. Nor does it pale out and it withstands wind and rain. A most meritorious development.”
From Lyon’s Irisland catalog for 1956: “This is one of the very deepest of the flamingo pinks. Flower clear and clean with no haft markings, and somewhat ruffled with heavy substance. Beard is deep orange-red. Nicely formed flowers withstand adverse weather conditions and are spicily fragrant.”
From Iris Test Gardens catalog for 1960: “… The well formed 5-inch bloom is carried on well branched 32-inch stalks. Real garden value as to color and resistance to sun, wind and rain. Spicy fragrance. Late.”
