Full Description
TB 35″ EM & Re
From Melrose Gardens catalog for 1977: “Sept. Big, crisp flowers on tall, noble stalks are lavender-violet with paler tones centering the falls.”
From Avonbank Iris gardens catalog for 1984: “M & E. Oct. in Va. This is something of an ‘old war-horse’ now, but it reblooms faithfully wherever the season is long enough, and seems adapted to all climates. It is a large violet iris on superb stems. The form is old-fashioned but good. It bears strong fragrance and is fertile. Melrose Gardens introduced a new remontant out of it last year. It was ‘Queen of Show’ for them a few years back.”
(Purple Duet X Sunset Blues).
