From The Longfield Iris Farm catalog for 1956: “The pinkest of all the orchid pink Iris we have grown. Large perfectly formed flowers with broad petals; smooth satiny texture; heavy substance. It is one of the hardiest, most floriferous Iris we have in our garden. Midseason. 38 inches.”

From Cooley’s Gardens catalog for 1958: “Selected as the largest and best of all the orchid pinks raised by Paul Cook. Large perfectly formed flowers, with broad petals, satiny texture and very heavy substance. Husky in growth and extremely floriferous. 38-40″ tall. A very beautiful iris.”
