From Fleur de Lis Gardens catalog for 1969: “Even though this is a sister to the vivid pink Ovation, it appears to be so thoroughly delighted and pleased at just being itself that it seems almost ready to purr. It is a clean, clear true pink with absolutely no apricot or bluish tones, thus becoming exciting in its own way as its sister is in hers. The flowers are large, very broad petaled and nicely formed with gracefully fluted, satiny finished, semi-flaring falls and wide, slightly ruffled, well domed, silken standards. A snowy white area gleams through the central part of the falls below the rich pink beard.

Stalks and branching are in nice proportion. This also has bright foliage with a slight purple cast at the base. Should be one of the most exciting parents in years, for who knows – perhaps a wrong cross might turn it into a snarling, raging Pink Panther.”
