From Rainbow Gardens catalog for 1925: “S. soft primrose; F. reddish purple with a distinct primrose edge. 2 ft.”

From Bonnewitz Irises catalog for 1926: “S. sulphur yellow; F. rich plum, bordered cream. Early. A good landscape variety, similar to Loreley, but with slightly lighter general color.”

From Treholme Gardens catalog for 1928: “S. light yellow; F. brilliant madder-crimson, margined yellow. On the order of Loreley but of a brighter shade. Along the lines also of Kathryn Fryer, W.J. Fryer, and Argynnis, the latter being far superior in every way.”
