From Registration data: Standards of white with a blended border lightly stitched veronica violet, darker hairline petal edging; Falls are white, solidly colored hafts heliotrope, petals lightly edged same color part way down with dark wire edging; blue beard tipped white; yellow in throat.

From Eden Road Iris Garden 1968 catalog, Introduction: “Sib. to Jakarta. Gorgeous lightly marked plicata that still has enough intense markings to give it lots of impact. Standards are white with blended border lightly stitched Veronica Violet, Wilson 639/2. Falls are strongly arched and flaring and are white with solidly colored hafts of Heliotrope, 636/1, and are deeper Veronica Violet than 639 at tip and midrib blending lighter in heart. Pollen fertile. Pictured on front cover.”
From Eden Road 1971 “All petals have a dark wire edging all the way around. Styles are deeper veronica violet at tip and midrib blending lighter in heart. Beard is blue white tipped yellow. Wondeful branching with four branches and a terminal.
HM 1969.”
