From the 1954 Schreiner’s Iris Catalog: “Far too subtle for printer’s ink is the frosty, opalescent sheen of this sparkling lavender-pink. So ethereal is its silvery iridescence that it threatens to deliquesce into a mist before one’s very eyes. Happily named Rainbow Mist is far more beautiful than the engraver would have us believe. One of the few Irises in these luminous tranquil color tones.”
