From Schreiner’s Iris Lovers Catalog 1987 (Introduction year for this iris): An early bloomer, this trim and deftly edged blue plicata offers a vision of purity and uniformity. Precise 1/4″ blue purple markings edge the pure white centers of both the standards and the falls. Though not tall, the large (6×4) and full flower is finely molded and has a special vibrancy.. Nice ruffling adds to the effect of pristine glory. 6-7 buds are presented on finely branched stems.”
