Full Description

TB 36″ M

From Eden Road Iris Garden catalog for 1961: “Gorgeous pastel blend with standards of bluish pink shaded deeper apricot on edges. The falls are a delicious creamy apricot with the color intensified on the hafts by the tangerine beard. There is a chartreuse glow in the center of the flower.”

From Schreiner’s Iris Lover’s catalog for 1965: “A new pleasing color combination of blush-pink on buffy cream standards and falls a delicious apricot or peach sherbet color intensifying toward the haft and reflecting as it were, the tangerine beard. A very subtle iridescent iris full of exquisite nuances.”

From Lloyd Austin’s Iris Color Guidebook 1963 “A unique, appealing new color combination. Standards apricot salmon, somewhat ruffled and folded back at edges. Falls light salmon yellow, becoming salmon at haft around a red tangerine beard. White signal at end of Beard.”

From Fleur de Lis Iris Catalog 1963  “REAL DELIGHT (Waters ’60) M. 38 in. (Frances Kent x Top Flight). Another of the glorified versions of Frances Kent. Apricot gilt standards heavily flushed pink through their center and falls of deep apricot peach with color deepening over the haft around the red beard. Tall well branched stalks with good placement. Very showy. H.M. 1960 .. . .. . . . . I 0.00 ”

(Frances Kent X Top Flight), HM 1960.

From Cooley’s Iris Catalog 1971 ” A huge and gorgeous blend of blush pink and deep apricot. Petals are broad and thick in texture, the falls flaring and supporting a heavy bright red-orange beard. There is a greenish chartreuse glow within the flowers. 3 1/2 feet HM AIS 1960.”
