From Glen Road Iris Garden catalog for 1924: “A silken chrome yellow, the falls veined and flushed deep hellebore red, oddly rich and of good size. 2 ft.”

From Carl Salbach Iris 1929;”A fine richly colored variegata. S. clear buttercup yellow, F. buttercup yellow heavily striped bronze, flaring. 24 in. . .. .. . $3.00.

From Rainbow Fragments, Shull 1931: “A blended bicolor; Lemon yellow with hellebore red. Good size. S. erect and arched; F. straight hanging and incurved. Substance fair; Stalk angular and medium tall; Few buds per stem; Branching high. Foliage, stiff & broad, yellow-green. Vigorous, good increase.”
